Oriental Summer

Florals are always the 'it' thing during spring and summer. Yes, florals for spring. "Groundbreaking"(if you get the reference then it proves that we have both watched too many movies with our sisters). Although floral patterns have always been on the runway for men's fashion, it's often overshadowed by the more subtle and standard patterns: stripes, plaid, and tartan. Luckily this year, no pattern is deemed too flamboyant for men who want to experiment with their style.

If you're a amateur with florals like me, you can try wearing a more toned down pattern. Shoes and accessories are always the best way to incorporate a new style in your outfits.

These slip-ons by Bellfield are definitely a must have for the summer. Personally I think the print resembles the traditional Japanese paintings with it's cranes and bamboos. The navy and white combination means that it matches pants of any colour. I should also add that it's one of those versatile shoes that you can wear on most occasions. Pair them with a pair of clean cut chinos that's cuffed to the ankles and you've got yourself a smart looking outfit. For a casual looking outfit, exchange your dirty chucks with these when wearing shorts to instantly breathe a chicness into your look.

Comfortable and good looking, what more can you ask for?
